Nestling in a bosky bower, around its flowered fountain, Ambilly is a history book opened towards the future. It keeps one of the very few dated buildings of the area: it was in 1597 that St Francis of Sales himself erected a cross here. One can wander around the Jean Beauquis park, where ornamental ponds full of fish murmur by the former clos Babuty, which finds back its youth of long ago. Then a few strides at the gymnasium or at the general-purpose stadium "Stade de la Paix". Ambilly also harbours the district hospital.
